French Spirit with an engine

The name serves as a reference so that we know beforehand what we are talking about, although what surprises us is the word “Fly”. Yachts do not have a “fly bridge”, but here is where the surprise starts it is not a yacht; it is a motor yacht and close to the top of the prestige line manufactured by Jeanneau. We can be sure that it is a vessel produced with all the time, dedication and care required by a company of this ilk.

Of gentle appearance, it can be said that it is a balanced motor yacht in all aspects; it is not overly ostentatious like most of the yachts manufactured by Italian boatyards, it looks like something more familiar. This does not imply that it is not an attractive vessel, besides having the elevated fly bridge that gives us more space to enjoy, as well as the resulting exterior bridge.

Viewing the vessel from the fly bridge towards the lower deck, we keep finding details that make us realize that we are aboard a Jeanneau, such as the backrests of the exterior bridge seats (which tell us expressly), a little towards aft we find a round table that serves as a breakfast area and that also forms part of the conjunction that also serves as a sun deck, where we can enjoy the fresh air and the sun in the full sense of the word. The elevation also provides a privileged view when mooring. Going down the stairway that leads to the main deck, the first thing we see is an exterior sofa with its back to the stem, making the best use of the space and the protection provided by the fly bridge. This is a place to rest and relax, as well as being the center between the two accesses to the swimming platform, which besides being functional, also has a shower to wash off the saltwater after a relaxing swim.

Entering the main lounge, we go into the living room, passing through sliding doors into the covered part of this deck. In this section, to starboard, there is a lounge for six people which can be used as a dining area thanks to the table with two folding leaves. Forward, to port, there is another sofa that complements the lounge. Further towards the bow, there is a control panel to starboard that has a bench in front of the helm and the instmment panel, which comfortably accommodates two people. Its counterpart, on the lower deck, is the galley, which is very well-equipped and divides these last two sections by the stairway that leads to the rest area.

In the rest area, we first find the galley to starboard, where there is also a cabin with twin beds and its own bathroom. The owner’s cabin is located in the bow and is equipped with a double bed, larger closets and its own bathroom. The finishings are to the highest quality, emphasizing the use of light colors.
