Luxury and elegance

On the eastern coast of Spain lies the autonomous region of Valencia. There, in the province of Alicante, typified by fine sand beaches, a year-‘round gentle climate, endless sunshine and the magnificent, sparkling Mediterranean, is the quaint town of Santa Pola where tradition runs deep at the Astondoa shipyard. Woodwork and joinery are an art form, executed by skilled craftsmen and cabinetry experts who work the interiors of the flashy Astondoa line of cabin cruisers with closed superstructure. In terms of design, the Astondoa fleet boasts the most elegant modern cabin cruisers available today.

Presented for the first time by the Rodriguez Group, in the spring of 1999, the Astondoa line (vessels of over 20 meters) is a strategic addition to the Open Leopard and Mangusta ranges. The Astondoas benefit from the experience and cutting-edge facilities of Spain’s number one luxury yacht shipyard. Astondoa’s partnership with the Rodriguez Group joins two of the industry’s most respected companies, which ensures the ultimate refinement of the cruisers, combining comfort, safety, and finish—all in one superb package. The cabinetry and paneling of the classic, luxurious interiors are not the only outstanding features of the Astondoa 72’. It is a contemporary yacht with decidedly elegant styling. Her sleek profile gives an aggressiveness to her character and irreproachable stability to her performance. All the onboard systems and equipment have been designed for simplicity. Starting with the spacious flybridge layout with semicircular seating and a mattress for sunbathing right behind the ergonomic helm station.

There is room to the aft of the flydeck to store a two-man RIB, which can be lowered into the water by a crane on the starboard side. The rear of the main deck sports an ample outdoor dining area. Steps built into the rear design of the boat lead to the swim deck and a transom garage opens up to reveal storage for the tender.

From the sporty exterior, travelers step into world of luxury and class—the woodwork is truly amazing! The saloon is comfortably elegant with a 360° view and a command station for the pilot that blends into the décor. The dining area, which seats six to eight guests, and the kitchen occupy the space immediately behind the cockpit in such a way that they don’t block the view.

The layout of the lower deck includes two double cabins, and two spacious suites. The master stateroom is situated amidships where it benefits from maximum available volume. The use of mirrors, lighting and wood paneling is used to maximize the sense of space and even the closets and bathrooms are used to best advantage in this truly modern design of ship interiors.

The Astondoa 72’ is a contemporary, elegant yacht whose smooth profile gives an aggressive seal to its personality and an irreproachable stability. There is no doubt that this surprising cruiser reflects the perfection of a world of class and luxury.
