Ahora Czapek & Cie rinde homenaje a esta hazaña con la colec- ción Place Vendôme , la cual incluye el Tour- billon Suspend « Ici et Ailleurs ». La primera serie –llamada Lumières en alusión a los reflejos que destellan los bor- des biselados de los puentes al costado de la esfera, y la Ilustración, de la época en la que nació el tourbillon– es una edición limitada a diez piezas en platino y quince en oro rosa. El reloj viene en una caja de 43.5 mm de diámetro de oro rosa 5N o plati- no Pt950, con cristal de zafiro curvo con tratamiento antirreflectante en ambos lados. Las manecillas “ fleur de lys ” apuntan a los elegantes números romanos de la sub-esfera ubicada a las 12 en punto, y el indi- cador día/noche que se encuentra a las 6 en punto es una mejora con respecto a modelos anteriores. El Place Vendôme Tourbillon es impulsado por el Calibre SXH2, un movimiento mecánico de cuerda manual desarrollado por Chronode y Czapek & Cie; es resistente al agua por 30 m, y ofrece 60 horas de reserva de energía. I n the mid-nineteenth century, François Czapek opened what it’s assumed to be the first haute hor- logerie boutique ever in the world famous square Place Vendôme in Paris. Now Czapek & Cie pays tribute to that feat with the Place Vendôme col- lection, which features the Tourbillon Suspend « Ici et Ailleurs ». The first series—called Lumières in allusion to the reflections flashing off the beveled edges of the bridges on the side of the dial and the Age of Enlightenment, when the tourbillon was born—is a limited edition of ten pieces in platinum and fifteen in rose gold. The timepiece comes in a 43.5 mm diameter, 5N Rose Gold or plati- num Pt950 case, with curved sapphire crystal and anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The “ fleur de lys ” hands point to sleek Roman numerals in the sub-dial located at 12 o’clock, and the day/night indicator located at 6 o’clock is an improvement from previous models. The Place Vendôme Tourbillon is powered by Caliber SXH2, a mechanical hand-wound movement developed by Chronode and Czapek & Cie; it is water resistant for 30m and offers 60 hours of power reserve.
