Este vestigio fabuloso se encuentra en el pueblo del mismo nombre, en la penín- sula de Jutlandia. La piedramás pequeña fue erigida por el rey Gorm en honor a su esposa, la reina Thyra, proba- blemente en el año 955. Su hijo –el Rey Harald “Blue- tooth” Gormson– levantó la piedra más grande alrede- dor del año 965, para inscribir sus victorias. Él ordenó que en este lugar se erigiera la primera iglesia cristiana que luego tuvo que ser reconstruida dos veces. En este recinto aún se resguardan losmuralesmás antiguos del país.
