Es po- sible conocer los preciosos jardines, los salones y al- cobas reales, además de la cámara que resguarda las joyas de la Casa Real Danesa. El lugar sirvió como inspiración para los escenarios en que William Shakespeare situó la trama de la tragedia Hamlet. Desde el siglo XIX, durante el verano se reali- zan representaciones de la obra, además de una visita guiada llamada “Siguiendo la pista de Hamlet”, que re- corre los rincones del castillo que están relacionados con la narración teatral.
