Por estas medidas de seguridad, este jet se hizo acreedor del premio Robert J. Collier que otorga anualmente la Asociación de Aeronáutica de Estados Unidos (NAA). El CAPS es un paracaídas que se activa manualmente desde el interior del jet en caso de una falla durante el vuelo, mientras que Safe Return tie- ne la capacidad de aterrizar automáticamente el jet ante una situación de emergencia con el simple toque de un botón. El Safe Return calcula la ruta de aterrizaje y busca el aeropuerto más cercano, incluso, la pista, y envía una señal de alarma a los servicios de emergencia del aeropuerto elegido. Powered by a Williams FJ33-5A engine, it has a range of 1,275 nm, at a top speed of 311 ktas. In the cockpit, Garmin's Cirrus Perspective Touch+ system integrates the sophisticated Vision Jet into an intui- tive interface, allowing the aircraft to be manned by a pilot without heavy workloads.
