The inventor's existence began to be widely mentioned in 2008, with the appearance on the market of the first electric car produced by Tesla Inc. People began to discover - and appreciate - who Nikola Tesla was and came across one of the great creative minds of the last century. Born in Smiljan, Croatia, in 1856, he was more than a scientist, he was a visionary whose work and thinking have influenced the modern world by imagining and creating technological solutions that went beyond what his contemporaries could imagine. Setenta años después de la hazaña fueron crearon dos exclusivos autos inspirados en los Porsche 550 Spyder Coupé Spyder, nombrados Porsche 718 Cayman RS Carrera Panamericana Special. Ambos ejemplares de colección fueron desarrollados en el taller Porsche Sonderwunsch de Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen con la ayuda de Style Porsche, el archivo de la empresa, Porsche Latin America y en sociedad con TAG Heuer. To commemorate the 1953 victory of the Porsche 550 Coupé Spyder in the Carrera Panamericana over a 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the Stuttgart-based company has designed a commemorative model called Sonderwunsch TAG Heuer and Porsche-Leyendas de la Panamericana project. Seventy years after the feat, two exclusive cars inspired by the Porsche 550 Spyder Coupé Spyder have been created, named Porsche 718 Cayman RS Carrera Panamericana Special. Both collector's models were developed in the Porsche Special Request workshop in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen with the help of Style Porsche, the company's archive, Porsche Latin America and in partnership with TAG Heuer. The LeMans look was applied to the pair of cars with a special color tone that is repeated on many elements, including the wheels. En las puertas y en el techo, destaca el gran número 152 iluminado en color amarillo limón, un tributo al mítico dígito del Porsche 550 Coupé con el que José ‘Chepe’ Herrarte ganó La Carrera Panamericana de 1953 en la categoría de autos de hasta 1,600 cc. Con este triunfo inició el legado deportivo de Porsche en la mítica competencia mexicana, tras un recorrido de 3,077.80 km, a lo largo de ocho etapas, desde Tuxtla Gutiérrez hasta Ciudad Juárez. Un segundo auto, rotulado con el número 154, fue manejado por Jaroslav Juhan. The rear windows are relieved by carbon fiber triangles, which facilitate breathing inside the cabin. It is accompanied by the pneumatic lifting system of the front axle for a better exit of ramps and at the same time the dual clutch transmission is available for a better response of the powertrain. The brake calipers are finished in high-gloss black, a nod to current styling trends. On the doors and roof, the large lemon-yellow illuminated number 152 is a tribute to the mythical number of the Porsche 550 Coupé with which José 'Chepe' Herrarte won the 1953 Carrera Panamericana in the up to 1,600 cc category. This triumph marked the beginning of Porsche's sporting legacy in the mythical Mexican competition, after a journey of 1,912.45 miles in eight stages from Tuxtla Gutiérrez to Ciudad Juárez.
