Great changes in the competitors’ positions and heavy rain characterized this regatta, held on the waters of the Valle de Bravo Reservoir on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16. The host Club was the Niutico Valle de Bravo with the Marina Azul and Vela La Pefla Clubs as cohosts.
The Blue Scorpion belongs to the prestigious Baglietto family and was designed by Francesco Paszkowski. Its hull is made of steel and its superstructures from aluminum; an impeccable combination of colors and a perfect contrast make it look very imposing while sailing the seas.
The name serves as a reference so that we know beforehand what we are talking about, although what surprises us is the word “Fly”. Yachts do not have a “fly bridge”, but here is where the surprise starts it is not a yacht; it is a motor yacht and close to the top of the prestige line manufactured by Jeanneau. We can be sure that it is a vessel produced with all the time, dedication and care required by a company of this ilk.
A brief glimpse at the outside of this motor yacht gives us an idea of why I decided to entitle this article “A Small Great Luxury”. For amateurs and the not very observant, it is mere- ly another launch that floats on the sea, a question that on understanding and deciphering what to our eyes is much clearer thanks to the length and the height of this vessel that lets us clearly see that it is not one of the “small” members of the range that is generally focused on water sports.

She was conceived strictly to the future owner’s require- ments; therefore this new custom yacht will be absolutely sumptuous and have truly ample space.
Only very few vessels can afford the luxury of boasting of being a conjunction of speed, beauty and technology, as well as having been designed to the requests of clients that enjoy both sailing regattas and well deserved moments of recreation. This is the Alexia.

It is a very entertaining and certainly difficult task to define: Where does one start to describe this motor yacht? Is it a recreation boat with a fishing spirit or vice versa, as a fishing boat with the benefits of a recreation yacht?
