Gaza Strip was once an area where magnificent Byzantine churches proliferated before most were destroyed. In Palestine, right on the central square, there´s just been discovered the remains of one of these temples, with about 1,500 years old.

This discovery was made during the construction of what will be a new shopping center, which on the one hand was lucky, but on the other, the machinery damaged the main marble column founded.

The incredible remains hold the Greek cross, wich is a key element of Byzantine architecture.
