van a escuelas privadas, pero para los que hacen Home
School (por Internet) cuentan con un director escolar
que les da tutoría, supervisa sus estudios académicos
y exámenes.
Como parte de la disciplina, a quien no realiza su
labor académica no le permiten jugar tenis.
De los 30 niños que viven actualmente en la aca-
demia, seis son mexicanos. Por la cercanía de San An-
tonio con México, “lo que queremos es ayudar a que
pronto tengamos un jugador que pueda trascender y
que esté dentro de los 100 mejores del mundo”.
“Esa es mi meta como mexicano, además de que
me encanta entrenar a los niños y jóvenes”, puntualizó
Leonardo Lavalle.
Por otra parte, afirmó que muchos de los asisten-
tes a la academia, después de dos años de estar con
ellos logran becas para universidades, algunas tan
renombradas como Princeton, Boston College, Duke,
University of Texas, entre otras.
Para finalizar, mencionó que tienen todo lo que se
necesita para progresar en el tenis, un nivel muy alto
de enseñanza y un gran programa de preparación física.
