Las características principales son:
Potencia: el poder de la turbina con toda seguridad,
no debemos confundir potencia con rapidez.
Potencia es desempeño, seguridad y potencia en el
tipo de misión requerida en los sitios de operaciones
y en las condiciones de vuelo.
Velocidad: se requiere hacer un estudio de
misión, que significa unir una serie de variables para
realmente saber que velocidad alcanzará nuestro
helicóptero, nivel del mar, numero de pasajeros, tipo
de clima, equipo y equipaje.
Disponibilidad: facilidad de mantenimiento, cali-
dad de la nave, acceso a refacciones y composturas
en el menor tiempo posible. Los helicópteros están
hechos para volar, en tierra no sirven de mucho.
Seguridad: existen tres tipos de seguridad, la de
operación, la de pasajeros en tierra o en vuelo y la de
pilotaje.
Pilotaje: el helicóptero tiene que estar hecho para
que el piloto tenga todo a la mano y visible para
poder llevar a cabo su misión.
Respeto al medio ambiente: que sea silencioso,
no contaminante y silencioso a nivel interior.
Ergonomía: que el diseño del helicóptero sea agra-
dable y cómodo, fácil y seguro, de cabina amplia, crear
el mayor espacio interior en el menor espacio exterior.
Confort: que tenga espacio de cabina, visibilidad,
sin vibraciones, que el compartimiento del equipaje
sea lo más amplio y que tenga una gama de equipo
opcional muy grande.
Versatilidad: que podamos operar nuestro heli-
cóptero en cualquier condición de vuelo en diferen-
tes misiones.

must not confuse power with speed. Power is per-
formance, safety and potency on all types of mis-
sion required at the operation sites and in the flight
conditions.
Speed: a mission study is required that involves
studying a series of variables to really know the
speed that can be reached by our helicopter, aswell as
the sea level, number of passengers, type of climate,
equipment and baggage.
Availability: ease of maintenance, quality of the
aircraft, access to spare parts and repairs in the
shortest time possible. Helicopters are made for fly-
ing; they are not much use on the ground.
Safety: there are three types of safety: operating
safety, air and ground passenger safety and flying
safety.
Flying: the helicopter must be designed so that
the pilot has everything at hand and visible to be able
to successfully complete his mission.
Respect for the environment: the helicopter must
be quiet, clean and have a low interior noise level.
Ergonomic: the design of the helicopter must be
pleasant and comfortable, easy and safe, with a large
cabin to create the largest interior space in the small-
est exterior space.
Comfort: the craft must have good cabin space,
visibility with no vibrations. The luggage compart-
mentmust be as large as possible andhelicoptermust
have the widest range of optional equipment.
Versatility: the helicoptermust be able to operate
on all flying conditions on different missions.
