We then reached the plateau of Pampa Cañahuas at an altitude of 4,000 to 4,350 meters above sea level. Here is the National Reserve Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we find beautiful vicuñas at the foot of the peaks of volcanoes, surrounded by a fascinating flora adapted to the intense sunlight of the day and low night temperatures. We walked down the slopes of Mount Chachani down to Arequipa. Later, we visited the monastery of St. Catherine of alleys, with cells that appeared like small houses
