P
como una de las principales capitales de la moda;
¡Bienvenidos a bordo!

T
o those that wish to know the Eternal
City, it might be worthwhile to evoke
a common adage among the Romans:
“¡Roma, non basta una vita!”
; sentence
that is absolutely true, since a lifetime
is not long enough to start a travel and be able to
enjoy —much less to fully understand— every-
thing that the city has to offer to its visitors. Few
cities can be compared with Rome, which amazes
locals and foreigners.
In this edition of Amura, dedicated to the
Caput Mundi
(Capital city of the Roman World), we
invite the reader to see it from a current perspec-
tive, in which almost three of inhabitants take part
in the dynamism of a urban center that reveals it-
self as one of the main fashion capitals; with a solid
automotive industry, that manufactures the most
exclusive and powerful cars in the world, andwhere
characters like Massimiliano Fuksas, regarded as
the Arquitecture’s Nobel laureate, have reached
well beyond its borders; without leaving behind its
history and identity as the nucleus of a great em-
pire, which entices to decode their past.
In Rome all periods live together or at least that
iswhat itwould seemto be. Bywalking on its streets,
talking to its people, seeing the common day-to-day
go by and admiring its landmarks one can sense that
special atmosphere of times that have left an indel-
ible legacy, making of it the Queen of the Cities.
Welcome aboard!
