lrededor del mundo existen infinidad
de campos de golf dignos de ser vi-
sitados, sin embargo no todos ellos
entran en la clasificación de cam-
peonato, en donde se juegan los más
prestigiosos torneos, tanto de las asociaciones de
cada país como de la PGA; por lo cual nos dimos
a la tarea de hacer un Top 10 de campos de golf,
tomando en consideración su diseño, atractivo
visual, calidad, estado de los fairways y green,
etc; así como opiniones de expertos, disevadores,
campeones amateurs y profesionales, además de
que algunos de los aquí listados cuentan con si-
glos de historia y tradición. En la creación de este
listado tomamos en consideración el Top 100 Golf
Courses del Reino Unido, el cual se elabora por un
conjunto de expertos de forma independiente, sin
fines de lucro, información que se cruzó con otros
rankings
reconocidos a nivel mundial, para hacerlo
lo más fidedigno y preciso para nuestros lectores.
Cabe señalar que entre la información que se
tomó en cuenta para ello están el número de veces
que un campo de golf ha aparecido en una tabla
de clasificación, versus una ponderación de los
campos que aparecen en el
ranking
mundial más
recientemente en las tablas de clasificación.
Pero sin duda todos ellos son campos de
campeonato, dignos de los más prestigiosos tor-
neos, tanto de las asociaciones de su país como
de la PGA.

however, not all of them enter into a
Championship classification, these golf
courses hold the most prestigious tour-
naments. Associations of every country and the
PGA must grade them; because of this, we have tak-
en the task to make a Top 10 of golf courses world-
wide, we have taken into consideration it’s design,
visual attraction, fairways and green status, etc; as
well as the opinion of the experts, designers and
amateur and professional champions. Some of the
following hold a history of centuries and proudly
display their tradition. To achieve this list we have
considered Top 100 Golf Courses of the United King-
dom, which elaborated a conjunction of experts in
an independent form, with ONG’s and information
checked with other rankings of a global level, in or-
der to make it more trustworthy and precise for our
readers.
It’s important to point out that for this infor-
mation to be published, we have taken into con-
sideration the number of times a golf course has
appeared in the score table vs. a ponderation of
the golf fields that are shown in a more recent
global ranking.
Without adoubt all of the courses shownare ready
to hold a championship, they are worthy of the most
prestigious tournaments and have hosted events for
the association of their country and the PGA.
