This year, one more time, the Puerto de Acapulco was the headquarters of the Abierto Mexicano de Tennis Telcel, which in its nineteenth edition, took place from 27 February to 03 March at the stadium Mextenis.
Crowned with an atmosphere of joy and fun, the thousands of fans, of all ages, enjoyed full seven days in a celebration of sport and the beauty of Acapulco. Sun and sea framed the festivities that just gave birth to top-level tennis matches.
The white sport in the Abierto Mexicano de Tennis, in this issue, was of great stature with athletes such as Gilíes Simón, David Ferrer, Nicolás Almagro, Stanislas Wawrinka, Fernando Verdasco and David Ferrer, among others. That attitude of the finest full faced sportsmanship on the court gave the best of the shows.
The presence of women in the tournament was represented by the athletes: Sara Errani, Ximena Hermoso, Flavia Pennetta, Roberta Vinci, who shaked the stadium to the seashore with big games, beating the waves plays and decorating the innate beauty of this sport.
Telcel area opened to the public with an attractive stand full of family attractions where visitors could cool the heat of the Port and share games, trivia games, awards and see the latest equipment that Telcel offers to the public.
The signings were swift, the players gladly posed for photos with excited fans, sharing great moments and creating memories that fans will treasure.
Telcel has been committed to the sport in México for more than eight years, working with Mextenis to carry out this important intemational competition, which this year awarded with the singles trophy winner to the Spanish David Ferrer in the male category and Italian Sara Errani in the female one.
The Abierto Mexicano de Tennis is undoubtedly one of the largest sports fair and of the highest level in México.
