Ferretti Yachts 860: a harmony of different notes.
Unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Ferretti Yachts 860 showcases advanced, innovative design solutions that compose a symphony of beauty and well-being, with high technology and a new flybridge that privileges harmony between stylistic and architectural elements.
It is 88 feet 5 inches long and 20 feet 5 inches wide, all made in Italy, the result of a collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, with exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by Ideaeitalia.
The exterior features innovations that raise the yacht above the standards of its segment, such as the placement of full-height windows.
On board, we find the most appreciated features of the Ferretti Yachts flybridge range in evolved forms, as well as a special focus on the connection between the exterior and interior spaces. The exterior, in harmony with the interior finishes and furnishings, is designed for conviviality and relaxation, with areas for socializing and privacy. Comfort is another of the manufacturer's priorities, with solutions that reduce vibration and noise.
Exterior areas
Comfort, practicality, privacy and elegance characterize the redesigned aft area, such as the cockpit and beach area with an uninterrupted space of over 322 sq. ft. The cockpit is an area with a glass parapet aft that offers a view of the horizon. The main saloon door can be fully opened, either electrically or manually, to provide maximum continuity between the spacious and bright interior and exterior spaces. It is furnished with a pair of sofas facing each other and a central table that seats eight. The bar to port provides the perfect setting and support for al fresco dining and other activities.
The 118 square foot forward living area is designed as a spacious saloon with an extra large forward facing settee, plus a sofa bed and teak coffee table. For a comfortable stay, an umbrella supported by carbon fiber poles provides protection from the sun's rays.
The beach area is characterized by spacious and comfortable spaces. The key feature is the largest garage on the market, ideal for two marine toys, a Williams Jet 395 tender and a two-seater jet ski, which can be placed directly in the water with a platform.
Flybridge
The flybridge has a surface area of 473 square feet and is accessed via a teak-laid ladder. It can be equipped with freestanding furniture, a multifunctional bar, a dining area for eight people and, for the first time on a Ferretti Yachts, the possibility of installing a Jacuzzi at the stern. Comfort is ensured by a two-tone hardtop available in three configurations: fixed glass, folding glass or with shading louvers.
Main Deck
The striking interior design is dominated by flowing, harmonious lines and several striking features, including a spiral staircase on the main deck leading to the lower deck, with freestanding furniture and Art Deco-inspired geometric curves.
The salon (over 290 square feet) maximizes the continuity between the exterior and interior spaces, with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the hull and a choice of two designs: an open kitchen or a wall separating it from the lobby. Access to the main salon is through a large sliding aft door, where guests can enjoy entertainment thanks to a space designed to accommodate a 75-inch screen.
The dining area has a large sliding glass window that opens to the port deck, creating a bright atmosphere.
The semi-raised cockpit is separated from the guest area and crew passageway, enhancing privacy for the owner and guests. The state-of-the-art cockpit features a new Simrad Command "integrated dash" and an upright, center-postless windshield for a perfect view while underway. The cockpit has direct access to the crew quarters, which include two double staterooms with ensuite bathrooms.
Lower Deck
The spacious, full-beam owner's suite is located in the central section and features a design and solutions similar to those found on mega yachts: ample storage space, including a dressing room and bathroom. Another feature is the soundproofing designed to ensure maximum comfort and privacy.
On the lower deck there are four double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms; at the bow, on the starboard side, there is another double cabin, while on the port side there is another guest compartment with twin berths. A spacious VIP double cabin completes the deck.
Propulsion and Technology
The Ferretti Yachts 860 is equipped with an optional configuration of twin 2,000 hp MAN V12 engines, giving a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 32 knots. The standard version with two 1,800 hp MAN V12 engines provides a cruising speed of 24 knots and a maximum speed of 28 knots.
