As its new flagship, the house yacht Lazzara launched its new Lazzara 116, which certainly has some similarity with previ-ous models of the brand, but with a new design. Asits name implies, this ship has a length of 116 feetfrom stem to stern, its configuration can enjoy thecomforts of a mega yacht, but without the restric-tions that sometimes large vessels represent.
With BO years of tradition in the world of luxuryyachts, Lazzara now shows the 116 as its latest andbold creation. 10 people, including the owner andguests and 3 crew members can be aboard.
The hull of the 116, built with unidirectionalglass fiber, stands imposing and hard to unnoticed.The exterior boasts long windows that look the clas-sical form that this firm has used in other of its creations, although this time with a more streamlinedand dark finish, contrasting with the white that dominates the whole ship.
The flybridge of the 116 is exposed and is a vastarea, with cocktail tables and double mattresses, abar with stools, refrigerator, grill and jacuzzi. Every-thing is located under the roof with the exception ofthe latter. Towards the front of this space is a controlstation, which has a seat for the captain and twobooster seats, and a little behind two armchairs, eachat a table. Towards the stem of this level is an inflat-able boat ready to be released any time required.
The spacious stem includes a platform con-trolled by a mechanism to raise or lower, and is de-signed for those who want to go swimming in thesea. It also has space to store two jetski. Access tothe engine room and support team is in a watertightdoor located in the same stem.
The main control center of the 116 featuresthe latest technology in navigation, in front oftwo chairs for navigators, equipped with a vastarray of instruments such as Simrad VHF, Pana-sonic phones KXTA824, KVH satellite connection,monitor alarms, among others, they are operatedby multiple flat screens located under the mainwindows. Just behind these chairs is a leatherarmchair for those wishing to observe the journeyfrom this area of the boat.
In the stem is the entrance to the hall, whichis accessed through sliding doors. Heading to star-board, there is an LCD screen embedded in the wall,and inclined so that everyone can watch. Guests arewelcomed into a space that blends harmoniouslyinto the bar, dining room and the same room in asingle environment, thanks to the decor are domi-nant motifs in blue and sand tones, designed forareas of residence. The color of the windows, the re-sult of its polarization, with contrasting finishes ofthe walls and furniture made from mahogany andteak. The distribution and quality of lighting wasdesigned to highlight the natural color of wood. Asa whole, the landscape of this area of the ship givesthe feeling of being in a bungalow at the seashore.
The room has a single sofa, one double and sev-eral upholstered chairs and a bar always ready withdrinks and snacks. In front of the command centeris the kitchen, where interior design is consistentwith the other rooms, and that has a bar preparation,stove and stainless steel sink, double door refrigera-tor, a breakfast area and their respective chairs.
Down stairs, to the lower level, and decoratedwith a shiny marble floor houses the lobby, whichleads to the master stateroom, located right in theheart of the yacht, and two VIP cabins. There is also aresearch library with a sofa bed for extra guest.
The master suite of 116, which can be accessedby two entrances, has a king size bed, a sofa, a ward-robe and center width of vanity, which togetherwith cupboards and drawers are made with makorewood. The bathroom of this suite has large mirrors,two separate sinks, a toilet apart in its own com-partment, a shower, bath and jacuzzi.
The two VIP staterooms are located on oppositesides across the width of the boat, while another ispointed forward, which has an opening in the deckfor star gazing. Each of these rooms has cherry woodcabinets and white carpeting. For its part, the crewquarters are located at the stem, the captain’s cabinis private, while the crew has two cabins with twinor bunk beds.
In the mechanical item, the Lazzara 116 isequipped with two MTU Series 2000 engines andtwo propellers Nibral rolls, which reaches a maxi-mum cruising speed of 26 and 28 knots respective-ly, in addition to AMERICAN TRAC stabilizers.
The Lazzara 116 is the result of the tradition ofthe firm to turn bold ideas into reality.
