Sunseeker Predator 60’

This marvelous yacht was showcased at the Southampton nautical fair on September of 2009, and since its introduction it has been the cause of great sensation, owing to its design and performance. The Sunseeker Predator 60 integrates into its design a perfect equilibrium of luxury, ergonomics, form, technology, and the best maritime tools that can be fitted into a speedy superyacht.

The stern solarium, which is located closer to port that it may leave a generous space for an entrance into the bath from the catwalk, has enough space to accommodate four people. An electric bowline can be extended, from the rear side of the hard top, to provide a greater amount of shade for guests resting on the mattress’. A large L-shaped sofa facing port side, an L-shaped dinette facing starboard, which can be extended to accommodate other guests, is complemented by a wet bar (which is fitted with a fully equipped electric grill) facing port side. The command center is a spacious room that can be fitted with large, multifunction screens, radio equipment, GPS, amongst other naval and communications equipment. Near the ceiling, and positioned in front of the navigator, rest two indicators which provide feedback on engine performance. The pilot seat can accommodate two additional crew members on each side.

The main hall has been carefully designed that the cabins remains comfortable and spacious. The firm took it into serious consideration the fact that life aboard a sport yacht must traduce to a comfortable life in the cabin. The main cabin is located at the center of the ship; the cabin at the prow, fitted with an independent bathroom (same as the main cabin), is located next to a smaller cabin that does not feature queen-size beds, but rather two bunk beds and a sink.

The firm has allowed its clients to customize the interior design of the ship, making it highly likely that there will never exist two identical Predator 60 yachts. This goes to show the firms prestige when it comes to its products and vice versa, as well as demonstrating why the Sunseeker firm is the leading yacht firm in the world.

The Predators 60 engines provide standard power of 2,534 Hp. The ship has a maximum speed of 42 knots, although it can maintain a comfortable cruising speed between 28 to 29 knots for a considerable amount of time. At the shipyard, construction workers have fitted the ship with a fixed transmition, making sure that the axis and the helix’s provide the same amount of performance as those found in the Arneson transmition. Whether they are hard top or open top versions, the surface helix’s and axis, 60ft in length, will dramatically increase the ships performance.

The ships ergonomics provide exceptional comfort. Its design has been carefully reviewed to provide this both in the cabin, as well as in the cleaning facilities and other areas of the ship. The Sunseeker’s interiors are spacious, well lit, and accommodating without having to go to great lengths to provide these.

Not a single detail has been overlooked in this sport yacht, were performance is perfectly in tune with the comfort usually found only in larger yachts.
