Living proof

There was a time in which great geniuses who shaped the modern World- our present World- were flesh and bone people who knew each other and shared their points of view. Some of the, those who were true visionaries, have transcended because of their achievements and thanks to the creation of organizations that have transmitted their values and mentalities.

This is how more than 125 years ago Friedrich Lürssen, a long with the acclaimed Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach- last names that are also known today and have survived the test of time- decided to built ships under the leadership of Lürssen and with this as an introduction, we present you the ARKLEY.

The exterior is elegant, refined, without any effort it displays tradition and at the same time modernity, in its 60 meters of length the 4 main decks are precisely placed, (five if we take into account the tank one which is also for storage and includes the crew’s dinning room), and the 6 spacious cabins (5 for guests and the main one).

It is of a classic white that gives a sobriety and adequate magnificence to what it is. The hull is impeccable and the only thing that stands out is the windows and the flotation mark line.

The sundeck or elevated bridge is a wide space that has a great taste detail, an outside pool on bow. Towards the stern we find a gym: a panoramic room that has a drinking bar made from one bar and four chairs, one living room, and on the upper part a 12 people dinning room.

The upper deck has a round table for 12 people on the outside and two complimentary tables, each one on one side. We continue onto the bow and we find another game table at starboard and one bar at port. Carrying on with out tour we enter the lobby, on its side there’s a VIP cabin with a double bed and a large full bathroom.

The following section is the captain’s cabin and the communications control room. Finally, in this deck is the command post that deserves a special mention, since it has a spectacular size. Separated by a partition that serves as an anchor spot for a projection screen that comes down from the roof, we find a library that is also used as a music room, since we also find here the beautiful Porsche design piano built by the famous Bösendorfer.

The following piece is the dinning room, an impressive place where with a touch of formality you can enjoy the company of 14 guests that fit in the table. The chairs have a very distinctive ARKLEY design which is a wave pattern that can be seen all the way through this beautiful yacht.

Continuing on the hallway we find this deck’s lobby, which leads us to the spectacular owner’s cabin, much like a presidential suite. It greets us with a modern ambience office, a desk with a chair and for the guests a three seat couch.

Through the door we enter the suite that has another table with two individual couches, one queen size bed directed towards the bow and just in front of the bed there is a flanked screen with the access doors to the dressing rooms, for him and for her as well.

At the stern of the inferior deck we find the garage, a diving equipment locker and an entrance for the machine room where the two engines are found, which together produce almost four thousand power horses to move the not so few thousand tons of this ship.

Going through the machine room we find the guest cabins, two cabins with a double bed and wide bathroom, one at port and the other at starboard, followed by two cabins with twin beds and their own bathroom.

The ARKLEY is confirmed as one of our most recent samples that the futuristic vision of Friedrich Lürssen runs through the veins of the company since it’s founding.
