New para el 2006

Alden Yachts Corporation of Portsmouth, Rhode Island has announced the signing of a new contract to build a 52' Motor Yacht. “We are quite encouraged with the number of builds we already have under contract, the new prospects we are working with, and the looming boat show season which promises to be one of the best in several years", states David MacFarlane, President of Alden Yachts.

Her hull was designed by the office of C. Raymond Hunt and is a version of its famous deep-V design with a fine V-entry to provide a soft ride and flattened rear sections to enhance performance. The hull is meticulously laminated with vinylester resin and includes a ten-year warranty against osmotic blistering. These hulls allow the owner to power through chop and sea conditions that keep other boats at the dock.

Agile, dry and stable in the roughest conditions, with excellent tracking and wave softening attributes, these hulls have been a favorite among military and professional mariners. Ideal for day cruising or weekending, or as top of the line fishing craft, the Alden 52 delivers solid shipbuilding craftsmanship, highspeed technology and quality commitment by the builder.

The yacht will be powered by twin Caterpillar C12 710 HP diesel engines. It is capable of speeds exceeding 35 knots and it tracks effortlessly even in challenging sea conditions. The yacht will further benefit from Alden Yachts' Acoustic Noise Reduction Program that involves ten different techniques aimed at producing the quietest powerboats in the industry. Machinery isolation mounting, exhaust silencing, vibration dampening and sound blocking and absorbing are all carefully and thoroughly addressed.
