Economy, Ecology and Beauty Together
The French have become renowned for promoting the rational use of natural resources, which is fully reflected on their lifestyles, and their rest options are not an exception, and that is the case of this French sailboat that, apart from sail propulsion, is equipped with the support of two electric motors that combined reach a 58 HP power, enough to keep a constant speed in case the god Aeolus is not willing to provide a constant or sufficiently impetuous puff.
For nine years Lagoon has manufactured this model, with such success and such pleasure for those who love catamarans that, due to its proven success, the company has bet on a second version (improved regarding the previous one) covering many areas, being ergonomics, maneuverability and the wide appreciated comfort, the most remarkable among them. Besides, the S2 version is provided with production equipment, for instance, pulleys with motor assistance in charge of the easiest and safest maneuvers.
Regarding motors, it must be emphasized that they are entirely ecological, with advanced technology —also used by the NASA— and rechargeable batteries with many different available options: while using the ship, with a wind generator or solar panels, which besides being an ecological effort, widens the vessel’s rank of use.
Two distinctive pontoons characterize the catamarans’ monohull boats, they proportionate stability as well as an interesting sight in the sea, without mentioning the great interior space. In the outside, huge sails can be appreciated, since they occupy 89m2 of this ship’s sail surface, and they match the elegant white hull, which has an excellent design consisting of two blue lines close to the water line. From the exterior the main saloon spaciousness can be perceived, offering a panoramic view hard to find in other ships, and it gives the sensation of interior space as well as of taking advantage of natural light.
In the stern, where the command room is, you can enjoy the exterior and interior view. Besides, even under an intense sun, you can protect yourself thanks to a folding roof that provides the most suitable protection in this space. The main saloon is divided into several spaces that complement each other, the living/dining room is at the vessel center and has an exceptional view since it is almost 20cm above the floor level, and along with the stove, it is quite close to the windows that look out onto the stern.
All the interior is made of wood of soft tonalities, providing a bright and cozy space. The three cabins are very spacious, all of them with excellent sized fitted beds. The owner’s cabin is equipped with a desk that has bookshelves.
