Mansion on the sea

This megayacht has every comfort imaginable, even more than most mansions. Above all, it has all the space needed to satisfy every whim and desire of the navigator. It was a little over a year ago that the Lürssen Queen M set out on its maiden voyage on the Nordic seas.

Seventy-two meters (236 feet) long, with six cabins, its 50,000 miles (80, 467 kilometers) at 12 knots, equipment and design allow it to spend several months at sea without touching shore, making it a totally-independent beauty and the perfect yacht.

Six guest cabins are located on the main deck. Each is about 30 m2 (323 sq ft) with windows that afford spectacular sea views. Except for the colors and the different types of marble used in each, their decoration is identical. All have a tub or shower, plasma screen, two have double beds and the others have single beds.

One of Lürssen Queen M’s magical details is that the dining room has a ceiling with a “starry sky” effect created by hundreds of small blinking lights. The stunning living room has a piano, bar, and a large plasma screen that folds into the ceiling.

The upper deck features an outdoor dining room that can sit 16, and a bar. Other luxurious touches are the folding glass and aluminum doors that protect from strong winds.

The best stateroom is set aside for the owner of the Lürssen Queen M. Its 90 m2 (969 sq ft) were designed to leave nothing to chance: a sofa, dressing room, full bathroom (with steam bath and shower), double sinks (all onyx), as well as other details.

Whether for fun, relaxation, or just transportation, this mega-yacht comes with two tenders: a 75 m (35 ft) Nimbus Max II and a custom-built Serenilla Venetian, which are launched through side doors. Once open, the hatch can be used as a “beach club.”
