Born to compete
All the world knows that the sailboat was one of the first methods of transportation invented by man, who had to harness the powers of nature for defense, in times of war, and provide sustenance for entire towns. Today, for the most part, sailboats are used for recreation or competition which brings us to the Beneteau First 36.7, a sailboat designed to reap the most benefits in a world ruled by Aeolos, god of wind.
Although sailing is one of our oldest activities, it has gotten to be more and more difficult over the years. However, today navigation skills are not the only thing that matter. Many other factors are involved, like the materials used to construct the boat, which get lighter every day, how it is made, design, etc.
The Beneteau First 36.7 is a vessel designed for competition though it can also be used as a recreational boat since it has everything needed for maximum comfort during a voyage without sacrificing the high performance required for a regatta.
It has three cabins, two located in the stern and one in the bow. The ample breakfast room, located near the galley, has a table with foldable leaves. The galley has a 90 L (12V) refrigerator, a two burner stove and a stainless steel double sink. Next to the galley is a card table with a foldable top and a panel for navigation instruments.
On the port side of the bow there is a bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink and faucet, mirror and linen closet.
The ship’s exterior features clean, discreet lines. Totally balanced, it is functional, practical and manageable without forfeiting the performance of a competition vessel. The stainless steel rails are very practical, especially during extreme weather conditions, and the bow platform is held firm by the three legs that support it. This is a multifaceted vessel designed as a recreational boat as well as for competitions but without sacrificing comfort.
