In 1959 at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, Willis Slane envisioned building a boat that would conquer the waters of Diamond Shoals and surmount the changing Hatteras weather. This new boat would have to be rugged and robust to take the pounding of the Atlantic waters. Thirty years of success later, all manufacturing was consolidated at the 95-acre waterfront shipyard in New Bern, North Carolina.
Designed for the ultimate cruising experience, by American craftsmen, the Hatteras 100 Motor Yacht has been designed for the tough who live the life of luxury and elegance. Known for its rugged sea-keeping ability, it is constructed of solid fiberglass with no coring. Deep gear ratios, coupled with larger propellers, provide constant speed under variable weather conditions and increased fuel efficiency. Hatteras goes to great lengths to design and engineer systems that exceed industry standards and to assure nautical safety.
The pilothouse with state of the art controls, features an L-shaped lounge with table, desk/chart table, stairs to the starboard companionway and steps to the flybridge. Here you can adjust the single lever electronic clutch and throttle controls. A 16” 45-hp bow thruster, and control station with all switches and dimmable lighted instruments makes piloting this beauty almost effortless. On this deck, a fully hydraulic crane is used for maneuvering the tender with chocks and a life raft with hydrostatic release. Step to the aft deck and entertain al fresco on the equipped with lounge seating, stereo speakers and overhead lighting. Family and guests will enjoy relaxing on the expansive U-shaped deck, aft, while enjoying a drink from wet bar with refrigerator and icemaker.
The gorgeous saloon, on the main deck, features rich wood paneling, a plush sectional sofa, a wood coffee table, two end tables and an occasional chair. The entertainment center of the main saloon includes a 42" plasma TV. Forward of the saloon, the formal dining area includes a dining table for eight with glass or wood top. The galley/dining area can be customized to perfectly fit your entertainment needs. Regardless of which dining arrangement you select, the galley is equipped with all the culinary amenities any chef will ever want. The master suite includes a king-size berth, port and starboard walk-in cedar-lined hanging lockers, wood paneling and crown molding and a full entertainment center with a 32” plasma TV. The his and her bathroom boasts finished wood cabinetry and marble/granite countertops.
The lower deck foyer includes a convenient coffee bar with refrigerator as well as a large laundry room with full size stacked washer/dryer and storage. An owner office with built-desk and storage cabinets is located starboard. Forward, the elegant VIP stateroom features a queen size berth, a roomy clothes closet, a state of the art entertainment center, and private head. Aft of the foyer we come to two separate staterooms with queen-size accommodations. Storage is generous and includes cedar-lined closets. A 20” LCD TV with CD/DVD player are standard. Both staterooms have private access to the guest heads. For maximum privacy, crew quarters are located aft and include two crew cabins and a captain’s stateroom.
