Making their debut at the 53o Boat Show at Fort Lauderdale

Pershing, a brand from the Ferretti Group, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high performance yachts, ranging from 15 to 35 meters. It will be present at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with two debuts: The Pershing 108’ and the Pershing 74’.

Fort Lauderdale is recognized as the “Yachting Capital of the World” and this year, at its 53rd.  Boat Show event, 162 manufacturing companies will introduce the best of their production. Ferretti Group considers that the stars in the Bahia Mar Yachting Center marina will be the three engines Pershing 108’ and the innovative Pershing 74’. Like the rest of their fleet, these two creations are the work of famed yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni who works in collaboration with Advanced Yatch Technology, the naval and design center for research from the Ferretti Group and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferretti Group.

On the Pershing 108’, designer De Simoni stated: “The architecture, the volumes from end to end, everything confirms the care that was placed into the project to make this model a benchmark in the nautical world. The level of customization, the ability to be independent and the attention given to the domestic environment, testify the continuous evolution of the brand by following the latest trends in design. “

 

 

 

 

 

The specialized website, www.boattest.com,   states on the Pershing design: “Mothers tell their children that ‘it is not nice to stare”, but when it comes to the Pershing line, you cannot help it. Frankly, we and the rest of the nautical world see the Pershing design with an admiration usually reserved for a Donatello’s sculpture. And on Pershing 74’ it adds, “ It’s all performance, elegance and luxury. Its mission is to be the quintessence of modern yachts, to impose a profile either on the water or on the docks around the world. It is destined to be both the ultimate glamour in yachts as a fast cruiser that can sail the Riviera from end to end in a week. “

These Yachts have the option to work with one, two or all of its three engines. They can be combined to optimize performance according to the speed and range desired. This ability makes a vessel less aggressive to the environment, avoiding the waste of heat and energy and maximizing fuel efficiency. The Pershing 108 can navigate 1.070 nautical miles at a maximum speed of 11 knots powered only by its central engine; with two engines this yacht is capable of sustaining a cruising speed of 23 knots.

 

 

 

 

The fabrics used in the exteriors are also innovative. The Pershing 108 ‘is the first yacht using a special version of Alcantara for the outside. In fact, all the loungers and sofas at the bow as well as at the solarium are covered with this unique material, which is particularly resistant to water.  The interiors have also their own prestige, as they have been the inspiration of the best and most renowned designers of the “Made in Italy” like Poltrona Frau, Armani Casa, Ernestomeda, Antonio Lupi, Penta Light and Zanotta.
