A Yacht Built to Captivate

Ferretti Yachts once again dazzles the strategic yachting market with the unveiling of its new flybridge Ferretti Yachts 450, and rewrites all the rules in its category. Every inch of this 40-50 footer projects a sense of space, class, and wellbeing that is essential for a relaxing time at sea. Furthermore, its undeniable sporty style is a prominent characteristic of the latest line of ships—powered by the rigorous excellence of Ferretti Group.

The Ferretti Yachts 450 was unveiled to the public at the Cannes Yachting Festival; the brainchild of a partnership between Ferretti Group’s Strategic Committee and its Department of Engineering—which supervised the technical and naval engineering—as well as Zuccon Studio International Project, responsible for the exterior and interior design of the vessel.

Its three decks have been conceived to create a contrast between material and color: a mixture of woods, lacquered surfaces and fabrics. Everything is carefully thought out to make each moment on board enjoyable. In the interiors, furniture was designed by Ferretti's engineering department. Three large windows allow for a substantial amount of natural light to pour in, and are representative elements of the entire fleet under 80 ft. long.

Contact with the Sea

 

The yacht is notable for its ample exterior space, the width of its hull, and its geometric volumes. Its Flybridge is one of its most distinctive elements, a space furnished with a dining table and a retractable canopy. The helm’s compact design opens the possibility of a storage area under the captain’s seat, which in turn can accommodate a large sunpad under the arch.

A retractable canopy will provide shade for the crew if desired when temperatures rise. The main deck’s interiors are ample and aerodynamic. At the stern’s platform, a lift provides a submerged area 2.80m deep, which can turn the stern into a mini beach club. The cabin can be accessed from this platform, which has been furnished with a sofa and a fixed wooden table. It is also possible to reach this area through the bridge and a hidden passage.

The port galley features oak doors and furniture, lacquered frames, and glass surfaces. This area also includes a living room with a leather upholstered cabinet, all designed with an innovating nanotechnology material.

 

 

 

 

The interior deck is also outfitted with three cabins, and the main suite can be expanded to accommodate a double central bed, a comfortable sofa at the starboard, various cabinets, two spacious closets, and a storage area next to the wall. The Ferretti Yacht 450 is available with a design of two or three cabins.

The yacht comes with twin Cummins engines in two configurations: Twin 425 Mhp QSB 6.7, or Twin 480 Mhp QSB 6.7. The former can propel the yacht to a cruising speed of 25kt and a max speed of 30kt, while the latter will accelerate the yacht to a cruising speed of 27kt and a max speed of 31kt. This new yacht can also be maneuvered via joystick, which simplifies movements and docking.
