Proportions of Perfection

The German shipbuilder Lürssen is a family-owned enterprise founded in 1875. For five generations, it has upheld its commitment to excellence, building splendid 33 to 200m long vessels that rank amongst the finest in the world.

The Kismet, a 95.2m/312.34ft super yacht, has been recognized as one of the most praised and awarded of its kind. It won the Displacement Motor Yacht category (75m or larger) at the “World Superyacht Awards 2015”, and received numerous nominations at the “Showboat Design Awards 2016” in the following categories: Design and Exterior Design, Interior Design, Naval Architecture, and Holistic Design.

To assemble the Kismet, Lürssen once again collaborated with Reymond Langton to design the interiors, the studio led by Pascale Reymond and Andrew Langton. Moreover, the exterior design was spearheaded by the naval architecture firm Espen Øino International; these two firms boast a steady collaborative track with some of the leading shipbuilders in the world. Together, they have managed to imbue flawless and splendid qualities in this vessel as well as an innovating and timeless design that is only matched by its technical elements. The owners’ wishes were always considered foremost in the conception of this ship.

Kismet is a state-of-the-art vessel primarily furnished with an entertainment system that embraces and provides maximum comfort for family and guests alike. We also find a hydromassage tub; its posterior wall is a skylight for the elevator.

This entire section is aesthetically connected by a waterfall near the main dining hall. These elements are testament to the incredible engineering and the capabilities of its designers, who are always one step ahead.

One prominently displayed external feature is the secondary heliport on the front deck, which can also be used as a basketball court. An additional heliport on the bridge deck can be morphed into an outdoor resting area. The ship’s ample holding area can be transformed and adjusted for numerous aquatic activities. The lower deck holds a spa, a beauty salon, and a gym.

The Kismet superyacht also features a double-height living room that extends from the main deck towards the upper part of the stern, furnished in colors and styles reminiscent of Art Deco. The sky lounge exudes a less formal atmosphere, while the sumptuous bar at the fabulous terrace on the stern can easily transform into a disco nightclub to further enjoy nights at sea.

It is worth mentioning the exquisite staircase that leads to the piano lounge; the handrails feature delicate metallic details that are replicated in other decorative elements. The staircase is also framed by forty-two, floor-to-ceiling video walls, with 140cm screens. The lamps in this room were created piece by piece with Bohemian crystal by Czech artisans.

Lürssen built the first motor yacht in the world in 1886, and has assembled approximately 3,000 vessels since 1875.

Seven cabins that accommodate up to 12 people have been conditioned for the most relaxing experience. The main cabin is illuminated by a skylight that covers the front half of the upper deck and includes a personal studio, large dressing rooms, and a marble and onyx hydromassage tub. The VIP stateroom boasts a peculiar beauty and originality inspired by Art Nouveau.

In addition, the Kismet mega-yacht is able to accommodate twenty-eight crew members. The crew deck is a suitable place for meetings, and fourteen cabins that are reserved for downtime. The Captain’s cabin and office are located in the bridge deck, adjacent to the wheelhouse. All service areas are fully operational and equipped. When it comes to security on board, a 6.2 m Fassmer rescue boat is available in the mooring station.

Lürssen Kismet is a displacement yacht that reaches a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a maximum speed of 17 knots, with a range of 6,000 nautical miles on 58,000 gallons of fuel. Moreover, it is equipped with anchorage stabilizers that are functional even when the ship is a rest.
