New-Generation Yacht for Millennial Thinking

Italian shipyard Rossinavi presents Aurora, a 49m aluminum vessel conceived to represent the Owner’s love for sports, with an innovating design inspired by the concept of a vessel reminis-cent of a speedboat—lean, fast and muscular. Aurora was customized for a young owner in his 30s looking for a ship that would meet the demands of a new generation. With its striking profile and state-of-the-art interiors, Aurora is an impressive creation of engineering and design.

Architect Achille Salvagni was the mastermind behind the luxurious interior design, furnished with high quality and quite unexpected materials that include oak, sycamore, ebony, teak flooring, accents of gunmetal bronze and Carrara Statuario marble. The open layout accommodates up to 12 guests in four double cabins divided on the main and lower decks, and two master cabins, plus nine crewmembers in four double cabins, located forward on the lower deck along with the galley and crew lounge. The captain’s quarters are in the upper deck, adjacent to the wheelhouse. The two owner’s cabins, unusually positioned on opposite sides of the ship and on different decks, feature large private terraces and expansive windows for panoramic views toward the sea.

On the main deck, the wine cellar housing 500 bottles, found in the lobby, is described by Salvagni as the heart of the yacht. But the most alluring aspect of Aurora is the beach club that features a ceiling-high sauna and an audiovisual system which can be used as a 120” LED cinema—the epitome of uninterrupted interior and exterior spaces. There are three social areas, dining space with an 80” curved 4k UHD screen TV, a state-of-the-art gym, and a garage with capacity for two tenders and many toys.

Rossinavi Aurora’s style radiates individuality, following no trends or rules. The shipyard and the owner created a vessel for a new generation of millennial forward thinking.

“Aurora reflects the active lifestyle of the owners, in the sporty look and feel of this 156-foot vessel. What is remarkable is that we have married normally opposing aesthetics—a sporty ele-gance and fluid, modern sensuality—and have created a real sense of home for them.”
Achille Salvagni, arquitecto
