Considered by organizers as "the world's largest boat and yacht show," MIBS has an impact of more than $1.034 billion in the Miami area, including sales of boats, accessories and services.
The Miami International Boat Show 2024 was once again the center of attention in the maritime world, with demonstrations of new models among the more than 1,000 vessels on display, in addition to 1,000 exhibiting brands and the presence of more than 100,000 visitors.
The event lasted four days, with vessels on display at sea and on land at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park in Miami Beach, Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina and Superyacht Miami at Yacht Haven Grande Miami.
Italian shipyard Azimut brought a fleet of eight models, including the world premiere of the Magellano 30M and the Fly 72, the latter making its U.S. debut. The Magellano 30M is a refined crossover with timeless lines, designed by American designer Ken Freivokh, characterized by a vertical bow and large glass surfaces (over 753 square feet) that envelop the interior, signed by architect and designer Vincenzo De Cotiis.
The dual-mode hull, a creation of the PL Ausonio naval architecture studio and Azimut's R&D department, offers maximum efficiency and comfort both in displacement cruising and at higher speeds.
The Fly 72 featured an exterior by Alberto Mancini and an interior by architect and designer Fabio Fantolino, who followed his stylistic code in search of the perfect harmony between elegance, design and technology. In addition to the two premieres, Azimut presented two other models from the Fly series (Fly 53 and Fly 68), the recently launched Magellano 60 and the Verve 48, which was presented for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show, the S7 sports yacht with a green soul and the Grande Trideck, flagship of the Azimut fleet.
Honda created a sensation on the large outboard market with the new BF350 (winner of the Marine Power Innovation 2023, MPI). The powerful V8 has recently been tested in a wide range of boat conditions and proved to be a quiet performer.
