Waterfront di Levante by Renzo Piano
For Saverio Cecchi, President of the Italian Nautical Industry Association and I Saloni Nautici, the 2023 edition has exceeded expectations and is on track to become the world's number one event for the nautical industry, thanks to the new Waterfront di Levante, designed by Renzo Piano, which, once inaugurated, will be the best exhibition space in the world dedicated to the nautical sector.
In the atmosphere of the Italian dolce vita, the dock hosted the most legendary international shipyards, competing in luxury and design, presenting world premieres of their novelties over 72 ft. In the same area of the dock is the Super Yachts Extension, an area with more than 30 super yachts in the water.
The newly opened marina is reserved for small motorboats from 26 ft. Pontoons placed at the end of the marina allowed visitors to get up close and personal with the boats.
As part of the Road to 2023 project, construction has begun on the aforementioned Waterfront di Levante, which will give the show a functional design with 200 more berths, a completely remodeled indoor sports stadium, navigable canals, an island where the Blue Pavilion will be located, new docks, and the expansion and renovation of spaces and services. The project is scheduled for completion in 2024.
