The archipelago of Yaeyama is located close to Taiwan, however, it belongs to Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun. The distance between Tokyo and these islands is almost 1200 km and they are a tourist attraction due to its jungle, mangrove swamps, beautiful beaches and climate, exquisitely warm because of its closeness to the tropics. The coast is paradise to those who love diving for it is surrounded by coral reef. This archipelago’s most important islands are Iriomote, Ishigaki and Kuro.
