An Emblem of the City
Situated in the centre of Munich, on Maximilianstrasse, -one of the world’s most elegant boulevards-, this hotel is an emblem of the city.
It is close to galleries, theatres, the Bavarian State Opera House and the top addresses in this wonderful Bavarian city.
The hotel has 303 bedrooms, including 64 suites. Not one room is the same as any other. The sixth floor of our hotel is home to an enchanting oasis: the completely redesigned Well Seasons Club. With its wide range of attractive facilities, is the perfect place to relax.
The history of this hotel is related to the Bavarian aristocracy. The King Maximilian II wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father, Ludwig I., and created a monument within the city of Munich itself – in the form of a beautiful boulevard, named after him.
Once the project was completed, a truly elegant hotel was required to receive the increasing number of distinguished visitors to this thriving city. Thus the hotel planned within the Maximilianstrasse project was, in the King’s words, to become “the most beautiful hotel in the city”. The royal requirement was met by the architect Rudolf Gottgetreu.
