The Alacranes Reef is a huge half moon that measures 100 km2 (38.6 m2), made up of five white sand islands and 20 km (12.4 m) of submerged reefs 600 meters (1,968 feet) wide. It is a true paradise and its beaches are a favored place for marine turtles to lay their eggs.
