Lausanne is a cosmopolitan city open to the world. It is full of history with a clear vision of the future. Lausanne is developing constantly, its economics, urban planning, public transport, and mobility, are just few of the sectors in evolution. Besides being a valued tourist destination, Lausanne houses a good number of international companies, to include corporate offices of multinational firms. The Geneva airport is only about 60 km from Lausanne. Lausanne can be reached by road or rail, but the most romantic way is sailing on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) in the historic steamboats. Lausanne has a feeling of a permanent vacation environment for both residents and visitors.
