Housed in a beautiful canyon in the middle of the Andes of southern Peru, Las Casitas del Colca is one of those places that seduces, charms and conquers forever the soul of the traveler. A true haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of the stunning Colca Canyon, the hotel is a series of several private cottages decorated with harmony and elegance, each with fireplace, terrace with Jacuzzi, and hot water bottles to warm the bed at night. Here, the only sound you hear is the river that runs through the canyon and birds that enliven the atmosphere. 

 

The Spa Samay greeted with the aromas of eucalyptus and offers a quiet and tranquility that is inspired by the Inca traditions. It offers a range of treatments with local products from the Valle del Colca and the highlands: treatments inspired by the garden (aromas and garden plants), the Colca Valley (for muscles and rejuvenate the body), and the Andes (healing elements of the earth). One can also relax in the couples’s suite with steam shower and private pool, enjoying the view of snowy mountains.

The restaurant offers a varied and changing menu. In the morning, the breakfast buffet is served on the terrace, accompanied by the sight of the walls of the canyon, and at lunch one can taste the local food while watching the flames and alpacas enjoying the garden. Dinner is served in front of the fireplace to enjoy the garden products accompanied with alpaca carpaccio, crayfish with mushrooms, peppers stuffed with oxtail, grilled trout, duck breast and confit of guinea pig, among others.

The hotel also offers a series of excursions to enjoy the canyon: visit the Cruz del Condor to see the condors up close, riding through the mountains, hiking in the canyon, visit pre-Hispanic ruins, bike tours, visits to villages and colonial churches.
