Located on the shore of the Baltic Sea, the Grand Sopot Sofitel is one of the most beautiful 5 star hotels in Poland. Its majestic building extends itself in front of the beach, dominating the deep-blue Baltic Sea, adorned with a beautiful garden with flowers and pergola. Its luxury astounds guests as they enter the lobby, where the coloured marble is organized in a rigid and elegant design.
The bar welcomes us with a 1920s flavour, and with a series of photographs that display some of the most important guests of the hotel: Charles de Gaulle, Marlene Dietrich, Hitler, Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh and Orson Wells, among others. The hotel was built in 1927 and has been interiorly restored to resemble its original design, adding contemporary luxury and elegance.
The 127 rooms with views to the ocean or the frontal garden, towards the city or the mansions, conserve the ambience of the golden epoch inside a fabulous space featuring a minimalistic touch that displays the Art Deco style in an elegant manner. The restaurant invites one to enjoy the finest regional and international cuisine, while the breakfast buffet is a true banquet.
The hotel harbours its own casino and it also features the Algotherm Spa and Nordic-style massages with an additional sauna, hammam and cold baths; gymnasium, as well as a fantastic indoor pool. The bar and the cigar room are enchanting corners where one feels compelled to read the newspaper while enjoying the finest liquors.
Its garden is a truly mesmerizing place that stretches into the beach and towards the longest wooden dock in Europe, which makes its way into the ocean. Finding itself at the heart of Sopot, it allows for the pleasures of the city to be within walking distance.
The Grand Sopot Sofitel is an invitation to enjoy the “Riviera of the North”, with elegance and refinement, with the flavours of the past and the memory of those memorable moments in its tumultuous history, here in the Polish region. The hotel is a marvellous historic treasure.
