All Luxury Adventure

Very few luxury car brands today, possess the quality to maintain themselves as objects of desire. Provoque dreams, evoque legends, and make heads turn, creating admiration. Land Rover is one of them.

Meanwhile, other great “premium” brands, born unique, have diminished to the street and real life level with accessible models for mass production, Land Rover is of the few brands that was born “in the mud.” Today it evoques adventure and luxury in it’s highest expression.

Inside the select group of living legends, the British brand is the only one that builds exclusively all terrain vehicles for adventure with the maximum level of quality and performance.

After 65 years, it has accomplished the heroic act of maintaining its legendary roughness, vehicles charged with power, but light at the same time, gifted with a driving softness, avant-garde technology, and supreme luxury.

A Land Rover owner knows it will never see on the street a lower range version of the same car that he (or she) drives. We are talking about a brand that manufactures one adaptation solely on the top of performance and luxury, which can be experienced behind the steering wheel.

Joseph ChamasRour, CEO of Land Rover Mexico, one of the most thriving markets, expresses this with a touch of irony: “What luxury car owner of a vehicle that costs 90 thousand dollars or more, would like to find themselves  at a stop sign next to another model of the same brand that just costs 30 thousand?”

Land Rover, inside and out, expresses the peak of refinement in vehicles of 4x4 traction. A safari through Africa, a trial to the Himalayas, an expedition to the Patagonia, an adventure on the dunes of the Sahara, or a ascent to the volcanoes in the heart of Mexico... aboard a Land Rover, makes us long for what each destination has prepared for us.

Range Rover, you are at the peak

If the urban trucks converted into SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) are here to stay on the streets and highways of the world, the totally new Range Rover has done the same, but at the optimal level of performance and luxury.

Of Course, it would be a mistake to think of the Range Rover 2013 as a  “truck”, since they have distinct differences, it is not build on a chassis, it has a monohull structure, which means it has the same architecture as an automobile, with its dynamic qualities but in a double traction adaptation and programmed to exceed any terrain and climatic condition.

Its lightness is based on its aluminum construction, classic material of the brand , with an alloy and architecture that make it extra rigid at the same time, like steel, but light as in a compact vehicle.the 2013 version, opens a new generation for the brand, with a weight 420 kilos lighter than its predecessor.    It is capable at the same to be noticed in the most exclusive atmosphere and challenge the elements with its all terrain abilities, prepared for adventure and ready to take on impossible roads. It possess an eight cylinder engine, gifted with a Start/Stop mechanism that stops the engine while the vehicle isn’t  in march, among other systems that favour a smarter gas consumption.

Developing the stunning potency of 500 horse power (hp), with a power of acceleration and drive that situate it next to the most exclusive sports cars, but unlike them it is capable of abandoning the highway or track and preserve all its qualities.

The Terrain Response system monitors in a continuous manner the road to choose by itself the type of conduction and suspension that is more adequate, at the same time, the, the Intelligent 4WD technology distributes the force among the four wheels according to the necessities of the road, to outsmart potholes, mud, rocks or streams.

The interior is at the measure of the luxury. It owns, among other details, handmade finishes, leather seats, which can create heat and have a electric memory adjustment, a multifunction steering wheel also in leather, entertainment center with audio brought to you by Meridian, navigator, back seat monitors located at the back rests and a panoramic transparent roof.

Thanks to Evoque, Land Rover took a breath of fresh air, which is still breathing in the present. It provided the brand with urban and civilized habits. It renewed the sub brand “Range Rover” to create it’s line more elegant and city forward.

Four years after its launch, this model remains its quality intact and has improved its performance.   Evoque is an SUV that assumes trate characteristics of the brand, brakes tradition with a juvenile character, innovative and rebel.

Yes, it is an SUV, but… two doors! and a large main door at the rear. It is a powerful, spacious car, with a clear coupé profile, of back descending roof that grants it with an aggressive and dynamic air.  Thanks to its characteristics, Evoque owns a pure sportive spirit, with the maneuverability of a compact luxury automobile, but also maintains the power and capacity of the 4x4 adventure.

Defender, wandering heart

The original design of fine angles and circular lights on the traditional Land Rover remain intact on Defender. With a retro vibe that plays tribute to nostalgia, but also with a thought out style that has the intention of reaching the last corners of earth...and beyond.

It keeps many classic elements, like flat glass, round lights, aluminum lamins attached with rivets, or the manual transmission. It’s motor and all terrain qualities are magnificent. There is no steep territory that stops the way and no driver that does not feel tempted to defy xtreme slopes or mark his own road where there was none. The heart of the Land Rover is intact in the Defender.

Behind the wheel, the command of the great dimensioned vehicle is felt by the driver with clarity in each movement on the chosen path. It’s drive in small or big roads in paved or wild terrain are extremely precise. It is a model for indomitable riders.

The Land Rover 110 has four lateral doors and one at the back, through which you may access the third sitting row, it can even carry the classic posterior ladder to climb to the roof, armed with a camera to capture nature.

Although its interior is adventurous, it offers the option of leather sittings, sound systems, and “premium” level entertainment. It’s diesel engine of 2.2 litres is light and potent. A gearbox of short relations stands out, that at few speed and low revolutions can develop a drive capable of putting the wheels to rotate with efficiency even in the most hostile environments.

History of a British passion

In 2013 Land Rover turned 65. It was in April of 1948 when the Rover fabric developed its first vehicle thought for work and harsh terrains. These were times of steel shortage, after World War II, there was abundance of aluminum sheets. The selection of this material, made the product light and resistant to corrosion, tracing its destiny. Until this day, the use of aluminum allows it to reduce weight, increasing its redeeming, and lowering the fuel consumption.Land Rover had immediate success, which launched it as a symbol of the British industry.

In 1970 a station wagon variation was baptized as Range Rover. Currently, it still remains a British brand, and has installed itself as leader of 4x4 vehicles with models as  Defender, LR2, LR4, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and  Range Rover Evoque. It is manofactured in Solihull,England, and comercilizes in over 180 world markets. Only in Mexico during 2012, it sold 53% more than last year, being reflected as a 36% at a global level, compared to 2011.
