Here Comes Another Brazilian
Continuing with the development of highly luxurious , comfortable and high-performance aircraft, the Brazilian company Embraer unveiled the Lineage 1000, anew model based on the platform of the Embraer 190 commercial model.
This aircraft will be the fourth in the growing portfolio of commercial aircraft from the company located near Sao Paulo. The Lineage 1000, is presented as an 'ultra-large' business jet, the Lineage 1000 features an oversized cabin space with a luxurious interior in five distinct areas, with a total cabin area of 115.7 m3, where up to 19 passengers will enjoy a variety of ambiences for lounging, dining, conferencing or relaxing.
The aircraft is powered by two reliable and eas- ily maintainable GE CF34-10E7 engines. Its range with 8 passengers aboard will be 7,778 kilometers (4,200 nautical miles) with NBAA IFR y 200 nm alternate reserves, at a maximum speed of Mach 0.82 at a ceiling height of 41,000 feet. It has a vari- ety of pre-designed configurations to adapt to pas- sengers’ needs with the large spaces to work, rest and hold meetings.
On-board entertainment includes Wi-Fi tech- nology and Internet access Internet, electronic flight bag and other characteristics. It has a 17.4 m? baggage hold that includes a large area to the rear, which is pressurized and easy accessible dur- ing flight. It is more than double the size of the baggage holds of any of its competitors.
The Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite dis- plays five multifunction LCD control panels, as well as a Cursor Control Device (CCD), Autothrottle, Weather Radar with Turbulence Detection Mode, fly-by-wire and other the latest-generation tech- nology.
Conceived in response to the severe demands of commercial aviation, the Lineage 1000 platform is designed to be modified quickly, with high-per- formance, high utilization and low maintenance. Its reliability has been proven by hundreds of thousands of flight time and refined by the latest possible engineering.
For the Whole World
Due to all its characteristics, the Lineage 1000 will be able to fly directly from London to New York or to any part of Europe or the Middle East; from Moscow to Tokyo or to any part of the Middle East; one from New York to Paris; one from Bangkok to any part of Europe, Africa and the Middle East; one from Dubai to Tokyo, Johannesburg, Rabat or any part of Europe and the Middle East at a low of oper- ating cost and with all the latest mod-cons.
“When we unveiled the Phenom jets only 12 months ago, we asserted to the business aviation community our firm commitment to stay in this industry and grow our presence,” said Mauricio Botelho, Embraer President and CEO, during the presentation.
“The Lineage 1000 is in a class of its own,” said Luis Carlos Affonso, Embraer Senior Vice- President, Executive Jets. “Abounding with space, premium comfort, refined appointments and con- venient amenities, the Lineage 1000 will deliver the ultimate in travel comfort, performance and operational economics.”
The Lineage 1000 offers the flexibility of interi- or customizations with the possibility of up to three lavatories and even a stand-up shower. The airplane's generous baggage compartment is com- plemented by a walk-in luggage area conveniently accessible in flight. The distinctive luxury of the Lineage 1000 combined with prime engineering— featuring fly-by-wire technology — will offer a superior travel experience.
Underneath all the luxury lies a solid and proven aircraft platform based on the reputable EMBRAER 190, from which the Lineage 1000 inherits the expert design for high performance and high utilization, with low operating costs. The Lineage 1000 is expected to enter service in mid-2008.
