To board a plane often becomes a task of patience at some point, where in most cases you simply want to skip all the steps to be in the comfort of our seat. Except when we fly in First British Airways, which through its Terminal 5, the land becomes an extended yet astonishing experience in the air.
Members of First, Club World, Club Europe, Gold and Silver Executive Club, can take advantage of the six lounges British Airways has available at Terminal 5, either to work, relax or use time as prefer among luxury spacious elegantly acclimated with art in every detail as well as the latest technology to shop, eat, relax and “put your feet in the sky” before boarding. Harrods, Paul Smith and Tiffany, are some of the establishments available in Terminal 5.
British Airways customers can check in online or at one of the 96 check-in kiosks located in the departure hall. Travelers with luggage can leave their bags in one of more than 100 bag drops before passing directly through security, without having to make rows for registration. For members of Club and First, there are kiosks with express check-in and fast bag drop areas at the south of the departures side.
In the Concorde Room, the acclaimed bar and restaurant offers a selection of drinks and dishes at the highest level, deftly prepared in front of customers. Meanwhile, amazing bathrooms revitalizes the body while the Elemis Travel Spa -outside the Concorde Room- offers a range of customized facials, as well as different types of massage for each part of the body. A movie theater at the Galleries Club lounge broadcasts the best live events, as well as excellent scheduled content, and for those who need or want to work, it has a variety of facilities and office technology.
Terminal 5 consists of a main terminal building (T5A) and two satellite buildings (T5B and T5C) joined by a system of underground transit routes. The building was designed by Rogers, Stirk, Harbour & Partners and is and it is so big that could accommodate 50 football fields in five floors, but with a fast and convenient mobility through a streamlined flow with clear signage and the precise location of exit doors. It has 4,000 parking spaces and a number of technologies that prevent stress and include a search engine car and supervision to ensure a space quickly.
