T

he watchmakers at MB&F have always been known for creating unique timepieces that are truly groundbreaking. In 2008, this was demonstrated with the new Horological Machine No. 2 (HM2-SV), who held not only a complete view of the 349 components of your engine, but was also a box made from synthetic sapphire.

Three years since its first appearance, the HM2-SV presents its final two special editions, the HM2 Black SV and the HM2 Red SV, and this way retiring with a blaze of glory.

The HM2 Black SV has the sapphire case, and flaunts black dials on a titanium plate covered in black PVD baseplate, which provides a different background that allows admiring the incredible inner machinery, while on its back you can admire the green rotor 22 karat gold. Meanwhile, on the HM2 Red SV, the dials are black over a pink gold plate, while behind there is the rose gold rotor, also of 22 k.

The rest of the machinery is the same that captivated the lovers of fine watchmaking three years ago. The engine is the first movement in the world that provides the jumping hour, concentric retrograde minutes, retrograde date, moon phase and automatic winding.

The sapphire case, 3.6 mm thick, becomes an invisible protection for the complex machinery of the clock, and its features make it rare and unique. Inside, the 349 components make up the HM2 complications and functions that work with great efficiency and technical strength.
