The distinctive features of A. Lange & Söhne include the lavish finissage of the 516-part movement, the firm's first mechanical digital watch with date function, Zeitwerk Date. A number of its components, such as the engraved ratchet wheel and filigreed remontoir bridge, can be viewed through the sapphire-crystal caseback.

The light gray solid silver dial, the hands of rhodiumed gold and the case white gold of the new manually wound caliber L043.8 stands out with its clearly organized movement architecture. The designers devised an unusual concept to integrate the date; a peripheral glass date display with printed numerals from 1 to 31 circles the dial. A small color segment on a ring beneath it always advances by one increment exactly at midnight. The current date is thus emphasized in red, providing a quick and intuitive reading.

The passion for perfection day after day, unending patience, artistic determination, striving for innovation, imagination and the persistent belief that everything is possible, manages to make it possible; That‘s why the brand is manifested by its countless personalities. Has endured numerous political upheavals and this characterizes the manufacture of their timepieces.

Get to know and begin your travel, no matter where –whether in the era of Ferdinand Adolph Lange or Walter Lange, on the night when the Berlin Wall fell, with a perpetual calendar or with a glimpse of the work that watchmakers do– there are many ways to discover the exciting world of A. Lange & Söhne.
