EThe Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph is an invitation to dream. Audacious and elegant, this watch opens new horizons in the art of timepieces. The watch is the product of the privileged relation- ship that Rolex has always had with the sea and sailing, bom to withs^nd water and enter the marine world.
El Yacht Master II is a prc^Rional in its fiSd and is the first watch to be endowed with a programmable countdown feature with a mechanical memory, which gives in the advantage of being able to be set according to the countdown time of each regatta.
This new genius of watch making, the product of Rolex’s fine wateh makiftg aad of the vertical integration conducted by the company 10 years ago, is characterized by the interaction between the movement and the design, which makes the Yacht Master n a totally innovative creation and a new-generation watch.
Hte different functions of this professional Oyster masterpiece have been designed for simple one handed operation. The Yacht Master II is equipped with a new movement, the Caliber 4160, which has been conceived and produced entirely by Rolex, and consists of 360 pieces.
The watch has a blue Parachrom spiral with a Breguet curve, which is ten times more shock- resistant and insensitive to magnetic fields. This Rolex innovation provides the watch with excel- lent chronographic performance, certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Control (COSC).
It's case is crafted from a single piece of 18- carat yellow or white has a diameter of 42.6 mm and is equipped with a Triplock winding crown protected by two gaskets and is waterproof to 100 metros.
El Yacht-Master II shows the hours and min- utes in the center with a seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The countdown, located between 8 and 4 o’clock (the red hand ion center) tell how much time is left to the start of hte regatta. Finally, hte watch boasts an Oyster bracelet fitted with an Oysterlock clasp with a quick Easylink extension.
