Two excellent tables in the heart of the vineyards

Located in Les Sources de Caudalie, these restaurants are a magnificent invitation to discover the regional products of the “terroir”, of the earth. The dishes will be accompanied by the best wines of the region or of the world since the cellar has 15 000 bottles, but we recommend the excellent Château Smith Haut-Lafitte, whose vineyards surround the restaurant. The two restaurants present different menus, depending on the diets of guests partaking in the wine therapy treatment. 

Les Tables du Savoir is a provincial style retreat with the air of an antique country laundry with beams, solid wooden tables and a more bistro ambiance. It features lentil mousse with prawns, lacquered duck magret, caramelized pork mignon, pineapple tart tatin and “coulant” of warm chocolate.

 

  

La Grande Vigne is a more sophisticated, elegant restaurant located at the edge of a small lake which reflects the enchanting, traditional buildings. It is a romantic place that features a gourmet kitchen offering refined flavors while respecting the limits of a balanced, healthful diet such as bogavante with truffle, foie gras sushi with cabernet sauvignon vinegar and candied artichokes, poultry stew, andouillette (typical pork sausage) and farm cheeses.

A couple of fascinating restaurants in one of the most exceptional spots of the Bordeaux countryside.
