Is the first official New York Zoo opened in the 1860 decade. It is currently administered by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). In 1980s it began remodeling so that in 1988 it reopen its doors by changing classic cages by spaces conditioned to natural environments.  

The Zoo boasts an approximately 130 species ranging from amphibians and reptiles, mammals and birds. The best time that visitors can enjoy, is the schedule of food animals since the seals and sea lions usually do lots to entertain visitors.
