It is composed by 27 interconnected buildings that house 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories and its famous library.
The Museum’s collection includes more than 32 million species, but not all can be exposed at the same time.
The Museum was founded in 1869 and it was at the Central Park Arsenal building. It was until 1877 that goes to its current location.
