A Paradise on A Toxa Island

At the entrance of the Arousa estuary we came across the O Grove peninsula, with its beautiful white sand beaches. It is joined to A Toxa Island, a renowned Spa, by a bridge. Its fame springs from its therapeutic mud and medicinal mineral waters, which are utilized to cure skin and respiratory ailments and used in the making of salts and soaps.

Its golf course, a place where the light plays with the tides that attire the scene depending on the level of the sea, is one of the most beautiful of Galicia. The course is hidden in a pine forest of soft hills and is a place where golfers can breathe in the sea air brought in by a slight breeze. The 18 holes are calmly played without great difficulty and are for golfers of all categories.

 

 

The other courses are located in A Coruña, Vigo and Domaio at the foot of the coast, where the sea creates a superb landscape. Each one has its own personality, ambiance and difficulties. 

A Toxa, located only 60 minutes from Santiago de Compostela, invites golfers to enjoy the sport, revel in the sea, delight in its natural, therapeutic treatments; visit the chapel, whose walls have been covered in scallop shells, and discover a naturally beautiful region rich in monuments, churches and elegant cities.
