Estrella del mar
Estrella del Mar, near Isla de Piedra, south of Mazatlán, has a championship golf course that surrounds the Pacific Ocean. This course spreads over an area of more than 70 hectares (173 acres) with six kilometers (3.72 miles) of seafront. Another interesting feature is that it is only 10 minutes from the airport.
Estrella del Mar is a new tourism development in a truly tropical setting. It features a boutique hotel, condos for sale or rent and an important turtle conservation center. The picturesque 18-hole, par 72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. (one of the three courses he has created in Mexico) and built in 1996.
Playing on the exotic, challenging course is an experience you will not forget. Six holes and six fairways are located at the edge of the sea in a landscape that blends the motion of waves with the swaying of palm trees. It guarantees the privacy needed to concentrate and play this wonderful course.
The Club House at Estrella del Mar Golf and Beach Resort has a bar, Pro-shop, men’s and women’s lockers and, of course, a restaurant with an ocean view where, in addition to a menu designed to please the most demanding palettes, you can have a drink or just enjoy the experience of being in a place not to be missed while visiting Mazatlán.
As a golfer, you will enjoy playing in seclusion, in perfect harmony with nature and on a private beach which is open to the public. It even offers transportation from the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone) so that you can take this experience home with you.
