Associations of every country and the PGA must grade them; because of this, we have taken the task to make a Top 10 of golf courses worldwide, we have taken into consideration it’s design, visual attraction, fairways and green status, etc; as well as the opinion of the experts, designers and amateur and professional champions. Some of the following hold a history of centuries and proudly display their tradition. To achieve this list we have considered Top 100 Golf Courses of the United Kingdom, which elaborated a conjunction of experts in an independent form, with ONG’s and information checked with other rankings of a global level, in order to make it more trustworthy and precise for our readers.
It’s important to point out that for this information to be published, we have taken into consideration the number of times a golf course has appeared in the score table vs. a ponderation of the golf fields that are shown in a more recent global ranking.
Without a doubt all of the courses shown are ready to hold a championship, they are worthy of the most prestigious tournaments and have hosted events for the association of their country and the PGA.
Pine Valley
Clementon, New Jersey
Due to it’s grade of difficulty and excellent design, created by George Crump and Harry Colt, Pine Valley, located to the south of New Jersey, in the United States is our number one. Established in 1918, it is one of the most celebrated golf clubs in the world; it has an exclusive list of members and you may only enter with an invitation. It’s 10th hole is one of the greatest challenges for any professional golfer; it is surrounded by a sand bed with pebbles, imposing cliffs and a bunker which only allows a back hit.

St Andrews
Scotland
Considered as golf’s birthplace, it’s pastures are said to exist since the XIIth century and were later used as a golf course, when Jacob IV, in 1502, became obsessed with this sport. In 1552 the licence to play golf was granted and in 1754 The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews was founded. It is said that any true heart golfer must play it at least once in his or her life. We are talking about a noble field full of challenges. Known as Swilcan Burn, this water obstacle, along with a bridge that crosses it -which is said to have been built by the Romans- are one of the icons of golf. It’s 17th hole is the most famous in the world and it is the course were most Opens have been played on the globe. “I fell in love the first day I played it. There isn’t another golf course in the world that compares to it, not even close.” Jack Nicklaus, Champion of the 1970 and 1978 Open..

The best of Mexico
For Mexico we realized a specific research amongst specialists and designers, as well as a back check against the information of media and specialized companies such as Golf Adviser, Gold Digest and Top 100 Golf Courses UK. The best golf courses of Mexico.
It is important to point out the names occupied by the 4th and 7th place of this list; two of these courses are located within the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita in Nayarit. Despite being created by the same designer (Jack Nicklaus), they are very different from one another. Not only because they represent a different challenge, but also because their inauguration is one decade apart (1999-2000). The Pacifico Golfcourse is steady but has agreat level of difficulty, it also holds a three extra hole (hole 3B) which is known as “Tail of the whale”; it is the only Green in the world with a natural island. On the other hand, the Bahia golfcourse has ondulation in Greens and fairways; six of it’s 18 holes have view of the sea. Meanwhile, Bosque Real Golf Course has 9 additional holes designed by Jack Nicklaus.
