Top Watch Hall Mexico 2009
C
on una participación de casi 30 marcas reloje-
ras, se llevó a cabo la tercera edición del Salón
de Alta Relojería enMéxico, que tuvo como sede
el Hotel Four Seasons de la Ciudad de México y fue
inaugurado por la presencia del Embajador de Suiza en
México, Urs Breiter, el pasado 29 de septiembre.
En este evento se pudo apreciar lo más selecto
de las marcas más prestigiadas del mundo, así como
ser testigos de la presentación de nuevos modelos,
de entre las que destacaron Tag Heuer con el Mónaco
V4; Audemars Piguet con un Conmemorativo del
Bicentenario de la Independencia de México, y el
Rotonde Centrale, de Cartier.
También los asistentes pudieron aprender de viva
voz de los participantes de la industria de la alta relo-
jería, ya que hubo una serie de conferencias en las que
destacaron la presencia por parte de Parmigiani, de
Antoine Bona, quien habló sobre la “Concepción de la
excelencia en la tradición de la Alta Relojería”.
Por parte de la firma Roger Dubuis, Gregory
Bruttin destacó el doble tourbillón mientras
Maximilian Busser, fundador de MB&F, dio una cáte-
dra sobre creación y concepto.
Después de tres días de exposición, donde miles de
personas asistieron y se deleitaron con un exquisito
salón digno de cualquier parte del mundo, se entregaron
nueve premios en diferentes categorías, en el marco de
una noche de gala que fue la cereza en el pastel.
El premio al Reloj del Año lo ganó A. Lange &Sönhe y
su “Lange Zeitwerk”, así como el premio al Reloj deDama
lo ganó Van Cleef & Arpels y su “Une Journee A Paris”.
Sin duda alguna, esperaremos a la siguiente edición
de este cada vezmás prestigiado Salón de Alta Relojería
para poder ver de cerca a losmáximos protagonistas de
una industria en plena transición, donde debido a lo
catártico de los últimos tiempos en el mundo y al mayor
conocimiento y exigencia de los compradores y colec-
cionistas, sólo los más consolidados, los que mejores y
más completas piezas hagan, sobrevivirán.

brands, the third edition of the Top
Watch Hall took place in Mexico, which
was held at the Mexico's city Four Seasons Hotel
initiated by the presence of the Swiss ambassador
in Mexico, Urs Breiter, this past September 29.
During the event we could appreciate the most
exclusive of the most prestigious brands in the
world, as well as being witness of the presentation
of new models, which among them stands out Tag
Heuer with the Monaco V4; Audemars Piguet with
a Bicentennial Mexico Independence commemora-
tive and the Rotonde Centrale, from Cartier.
Also the guests could learn from the very voice
of the participants of the top watch industry, since
there were a series of conferences in which the
presence on behalf of Parmigiani, of Antoine Bona
who spoke about the "Conception of the excellence
in the Top Watch tradition”, excelled.
On part of the Roger Dubuis signature, Gregory
Bruttin highlighted the double tourbillon while

After a three day exhibition, where thousands of
people were present and fascinated with an exquisite
hall worthy of any part of theworld, nine awards were
givenindifferentcategories,intheframeworkofafor-
mal eveningwhichwas the cherry on top of the cake.
The award for Best Watch of the year was won
by A. Lange & Sönhe and its “Lange Zeitwerk”, like
the LadyWatch Award, whichwas won by Van Cleef
& Arpels and its “Une Journee A Paris”.
Without a doubt, we will be waiting for the next
editionof this every timemore prestigious TopWatch
Hall to be able to see up close the main characters of
theindustryamidtransition,whereduetotheworld's
cathartics and the broader knowledge and demand of
thebuyers andcollectors, only themost consolidated,
the best andmost complete pieces will survive.
