hí en Los Cabos, en el desierto de Baja California
Sur, frente a la sierra La Giganta, se ha creado
una auténtica Meca del Golf, con varios campos
de la talla de los mejores del mundo, firmados por los
grandes diseñadores de campo de la talla de Jack
Nicklaus.
Donde no había más que cactus en medio de desér-
ticos paisajes, los fairways y greens han venido a pintar
de verde el escenario, con lagos artificiales donde se
acumula la preciada agua, tan escasa en esas latitudes.
Además del “Oso Dorado”, TomFazio, Pete Dye, Robert
Trent Jones y TomWeiskopf, entre otros, reconocidos di-
señadores han recorrido el desierto para diseñar cam-
pos de ensueño, que en la mayoría de los casos tienen
vista al Mar de Cortés.
En total, Los Cabos ofrece 126 hoyos en ocho esce-
narios de corte mundial, todos en excelentes condicio-
nes, listos para ser recorridos, con las más variadas
topografías, fairways serpenteantes que no perdonan
una mala salida, y lo mejor: paisajes inolvidables, donde
se mezclan el azul del mar con el dorado del desierto,
enmarcados por los enormes saguaros y una gran varie-
dad de cactáceas.
A lo largo de los 33 kilómetros de la Carretera Trans-
peninsular, que une Cabo San Lucas y San José del Cabo,
los campos están listos para el jugador deseoso por po-
ner a prueba su habilidad con los bastones, en escena-
rios de nivel campeonato.

Gigante, the Top of World Golf has been made
up, offering a lot of courses for the best ones, signed
by great designers such as Jack Nicklaus.
Fairways and greens have filled of green the sce-
nario, where there was nothing but cactus in the
middle of desert landscapes; there are artificial lakes,
full of precious water, even though it is so scarce in
those latitudes.
Besides the “Golden Bear”, from Tom Fazio, Pete
Dye, Robert Trent Jones and Tom Weiskop, among
others, well known designers have gone through the
desert to design dream courses, which most of them
let us see the Sea of Cortez.
As a whole, Los Cabos offers 126 holes in eight
world style settings, all of them in excellent condi-
tions, ready to be walked by, with a great variety of
topographies, twisting fairways that doesn’t permit
a poor centre, and the best: unforgettable land-
scapes, where blue sea and golden deserts blend,
surrounded by huge saguaros and a great diversity
of cactaceae.
Through out the 33 kilometres of the Trans-
peninsular Road, that joints Cabo San Lucas and San
José del Cabo, courses are ready to receive desirous
players for showing their skills with clubs in world
championships scenarios.
